January News

Area 6 January Newsletter

Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your winter holidays.  Thank you for all your generous gifts and the donations made on my behalf.

We just finished working with the visiting artist, Ms. Liliana Rodriguez. The students have made some beautiful artwork. I need some volunteers to help us display the artwork. If you have some time to come in please let me know.

We have collected a lot of recyclables and we are ready to build. We will start building with the boxes in the upcoming weeks. We also finished writing our story “More Chickens!” modeled on a story we read “More Bears!” by Kenn Nesbitt. I am going to try and send a copy with each student once it is put together with illustrations. Please ask your child about the story, we had a lot of fun writing the story.  We began reading our levelled books and these will begin to go home in February with our borrow-a-book. Sorry for the delay in the borrow-a-book; it should be coming home soon.

Note: Leader days will begin again in February.

Reminders

Please ensure that students have a pair of indoor shoes.
